Are these even normal band gigs, or "unplugged" kinds of gigs?

I have trouble imagining (sorry for the pun!) the average amp stack or drum kit fitting on a 737, but musicians playing acoustic portable instruments onboard, that I think I saw on one or more of those reality TV shows a few years ago that featured either Southwest or a similar (all coach) airline.
