So this procedure worked to get AA status benefits such as elite seat assignments, entering KTN, etc., but it seems my middle name won't "stick" when I try to enter it on the "Add/Edit Passenger Information" link in AA. When booking on BA, it doesn't have a field for middle name, so I'm just listed as First/Last. AA has a text box to add middle name. If I submit it, it shows up on the reservation. However, if I close out that page and look up my reservation again, the middle name field is cleared out with a new text box.

Will this have implications for getting TSA-pre given that my Secure Flight Info. is First/Middle/Last? Is there an alternative way to force-feed the middle name into the system (in a way that will stick)? Again, the KTN sticks, but not the middle name for some reason.
