The madness is spreading. Just went through security at FRA for a flight to BRU, and was asked to remove cables as well.

(And was told to try to fit my coat in my backpack, as their bins are quite dirty ... and my laptop was selected for a swipe check ....)

I flew out of FRA T2 to AMS and it was a breeze, cables in my trolley and no requests to take them out. Perhaps this is terminal one issue...
