Emirates might very well not allow you to board if you do not have a visa for the UK. There are hefty fines for airlines who let on passengers without visas for the final destination. EK would take a huge risk on letting you on their flight.

If you have sufficient time, I would recommend getting a Transit Visa or Visitors Visa for the UK.
