Hmmm - perhaps I am misunderstanding. But it does not only provide pre-check for US flights. It also provides priority security lanes at some airports and the ability to use a NEXUS lane at an airport without having to see a border guard (although sometimes you do) - but you can use the kiosk to go through quicker. And many other options if you use it for driving, boating, etc.

For international flights NEXUS is super handy. For example, last week I flew from Turkey to Toronto and when landing I use the NEXUS lane, scan my eyes and pretty much walk on out.

Even with a NEXUS card you are required to carry your passport in case asked for it.




And now I understand what you mean - entering your NEXUS number into your file helps determine if you can get pre-check.
