AC metal on UA paper -- can I e-upgrade and when?
I am booking a complicated itinerary on UA paper, and two of the flights are on AC metal in UA class W which maps over to 100% AQMs in Aeroplan. Am I correct in that I can request/get an upgrade on the AC metal using my eupgrades? And if so, when can I request these -- as a S100K, can I request them 7 days out as I would if I booked a Flex ticket directly with AC?

I tried to find the answer by searching, but I got even more confused . So many thanks in advance for anyone who can clarify!
