As an alternative, have you priced LAX-ZZZ-LAX and ZZZ-IST-ZZZ Istanbul fares are less than $200 from Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Barcelona, etc.?

Or an open-jaw route like LAX-ZZZ/YYY-LAX and ZZZ-IST/IST-YYY?
