Thanks for all the replies!

It's oddly reassuring that BA 'only cares about the cash'!

I wonder how long I'll be sympathetic to such a view...

As to the 'strop', I seem to recall it was sometime in about '97. I was at EDI trying to use one of the 'new fangled' check in machines, and it wouldn't work. I think I may have missed a button push, but I got into a blazing row with the BA girl, who was only trying to help. I think she said something innocently that put my back up!

"Red Mist"; a total 'Naomi Campbell don't-you-know-who-I-am?" moment, which I cringe about now.

As soon as I got home I cut the card up and sent it back to BA with the usual "I'll never fly with you again" stuff. Naturally, I regretted this a couple of days later, but felt it was too late to go back. Pride etc...

I'll go ahead and apply then. I can't remember my old BA number, so I assume they'll just give me a new card. Don't recall how many points I had, if any.

Dunno where I'll go, but I will try and post a comparison. Seem to remember it was mostly 757s and ATPs in those days!
