Sad day for the passing of the Middle East PE routes. Going DXB-HKG-LAX in PE with an 23hr connection in HKG was one of my favorite ways of going home.

Saw the writing on the wall though when most the DXB-HKG routes usually had E fare class wide open most flights with PE usually getting filled up with OpUps from Econ.

The Middle East flights definitely is a case of the haves and have nots... such an wide gap between regular econ and the long haul J seats after this change is implemented. I guess that's why Qatar/Emirates/Etihad never rolled out PE in their planes.
