I don't know routing codes, but I've always been curious to learn as a hobby. I have seen sites where you can search routing codes such as
https://matrix.itasoftware.com, but you cannot book through them.
While I'm not sure if this will increase the ticket price, use expert flyer, figure out what stops you're allowed to have on the way, and then go on aircanada.com and make sure you don't exceed the stopover times (e.g. 4 hours domestically), and build your own.
Eg YYZ SEA will show as YYZ YVR SEA max on ac.com but you could go through every single province if you wanted to pull a Cow
*Note: The only time I have done this was a non complex routing between YYZ and Quebec City...so I'm no expert, but that was the advice given to me when I asked about a YYZ SEA route (which permitted me to go through DEN of all places!)
