I am planning a trip in September and I would like to use my Aeroplan miles. I do not have enough currently to book two J tickets. As the destination is more important than the journey (for this trip anyway!), is it a good strategy to do the following:

- Book two Y tickets with 180k miles (Destination is MNL). I have 240k miles.
- Find a way to get 70k miles.
- Monitor J reward inventory.
- When availability for two appears, cancel the two Y tickets, get the miles back, pay the fee, book the two J reward tickets.
