Flew DCA-LAX in F Sat. (yesterday). Boarded with the first "slug", which now includes FC pax, AS elites, "partner" elites, anyone needing assistance, uniformed military, uniformed Russell Wilson, uniformed Boy Scouts, uniformed nuns, and anyone with an even-numbered birthday (ok, I exaggerate, but that's how ridiculous it seemed.)
There was actually a backup in the jetway.
So...a first. When I reached my seat, there was not a single cubic inch of F overhead space to be found. This was before general boarding started. Never had that happen before. FA was apologetic and asked me to find overhead space in coach. Required upstream swimming on arrival, but I survived.
First-world problem, yes...but annoying just the same. Yes, I wrote AlaskaListens. And for the record, there WAS a nun on the flight.
Since the FA's are not offering PDB's anymore, wouldn't it be nice if they kept an eye out and ensured that only F passengers put their bags in the F overheads?
