I was on a Virgin Little Red flight from EDI a couple of weeks ago and they made an announcement that they were status matching BA Golds (possibly silvers too but I can't recall exactly). If BA know Virgin are attempting to 'lure' status passengers away, I can't see why BA wouldn't employ the same tactics?
