Sorry don't quite get what tou mean by 20-25% difference.
Then again, I've a mate looking for Paris tix in early July, Y is around 10K++ and PE 16.7K++ - almost 67% more for 38% more room. Couldn't stomach it.
Almost redeemed a three-connection redemption TA email him a Premium Economy bundle. Eventually shose one that cost 15K++ but included a CDG PE *and* a DPS J. Best part is he has a wedding to attend in each and can really use this itin. Very sweet deal for him.
The travel dates are all shoulder seasons if not peak. Allowing 5K++ for the DPS tix (ignoring the fact it is J because is a nice to have but not essential for a 4-hour flight). the PE tix is more or less the same price as the stand-alone economy flight.
Very good deal. But it does show that PE is overpriced and no-one seems to be biting.
