Please read the OP's first post, he was told by the DL agent he was going to get a business class seat on SQ, not a suite, and remember that he paid for an economy seat. The app said he had a first class seat, never did an agent say he had one. The fact they even offered to put him into a business class seat on SQ was being generous.
The point is, you can pay the exact same thing and get different results. Most of the time, you do what you can to make the best of the situation. If they toss out something better than what you paid for...that becomes your new expectation.
...and with the way airfares are structured, what you "pay" for may not equate to what you get compared to others on the plane.
So, you say, well You get what You pay for and it is in between You and Delta... Well, then Delta just redefined what You paid for...
