Firstly Sorry if this is the wrong forum....

I just have question regarding my flight. I am flying Dublin - Toronto - Vancouver and the whole journey was done on the same booking with a travel agent but i'm a bit confused. I am flying the first journey with Aer Lingus and the second with West Jet.

My guess is that when I check in with Aer Lingus I am checked in Dublin to Vancouver and my bags are tagged through to Vancouver also, although I know I will have to pick them up at Toronto for Immigration.

However Aer Lingus and West Jet are not partner airlines, so does this mean I have to treat it like two separate trips and check in with West Jet also?

Also I don't have much time to make the connecting flight and if there is any delays I could miss the flight to Vancouver, If this happens will Westjet just put me on another flight free of charge?
