DL dropped the SFO-NRT route last year and no longer has flights from the international terminal and thus closed the lounge in that terminal. See -- http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...a-sfo-nrt.html. The new lounge is for the domestic flights in terminal 1 and replaces the current landside lounge there with an airside one. I would think most of the demand for showers would be on arrival from a red-eye flight, not on depature on one. So I don't see a big need for showers in SFO. There are Air France and China Airlines lounges in the international terminal that Skyteam Elite Plus members can use when flying Skyteam carriers from there. Sky Club members can also apparently also use the AF lounge according to the lounge finder.
