I've been doing some of my bookings in this sale but left the Xmas 2015 trip to the June sale. But the price comparison I did of a mid west TATL trip showed a drop from £2649 (booked in June 2014 sale) to £2538 in this sale for the same dates - but the car hire costs have gone thru the roof - so much so I'll be making other arrangements (£700 for 2 weeks car hire is a lot!). Also last time round the price dropped by £200 or so if you left your travel to two days before Christmas.
I think I'll just have to hold my nerve and wait for the June sale (I thought there may have been one in March a few years back but could be wrong). We also fly GLA or EDI/ORD in September, pretty much same dates each year and they are more or less the same price as when I booked in early 2014.
I've also found car hire costs (particularly in Florida) have gone crazy. We use USCarHire.com or CarHire3000, whoever is cheapest, and the best we could get for a full size for the 16 day trip we've just taken was almost £700.
I'm always twitchy about waiting to book as we like to fly out on December 27th so we don't "waste" any time at home after Christmas and hubby won't entertain more than one flight connection however I'll just have to take the gamble I guess.
