I did it end of last year at HGI in FRA since I knew I would be arriving late.

The check-in people were aware I had already checked in, but still made me fill out forms and sign them, swipe my cc and so on before they gave me the roomkey.

I also had t queue for the whole process.

Complete wate of time and effort to absoultely no avail and I will never do it again.

Maybe next time they will line up six dishes of sushi at reception and ask me to verify myself by selecting some of them before the give me the roomkey....
