I saw AF and sky jet or something like that, but the 'low' miles was ATL, JFK, CDG, Dub for like a 17h trip.

I didn't see VA at all. I wouldn't be averse to flying to Lon and then doing a train/ferry deal just for the adventure. Unless you folks with experience think it would be too long. I'd cut it up if I did it that way by staying in Lon a day on each end or something.
