I went for cheap rather than for segments.

Can you leave out of ISP? If so, what I found
was $ 440.41 incl. tax. Eleven segments and 12,749 miles - or 0.034 cents per mile.

It involves a circle trip from ISP-PHX plus a cheap, cheap RT from the contintal US to ANC - which as fate would have it, is one of those deals which usually only lasts for hours - thrown in on the side.
