Remember the days when DL let you redeem SQ F with miles?

I would definitely be bummed about missing out on the SQ A380 Suite. OP should have just gotten "lost" at NRT with the DL plane finally taking off, then going to the SQ gate and playing dumb. "I was shopping at duty free and I don't speak Japanese or English!"
