Seems like Marriott raised the resort fee at a lot of resort properties by $5. The resort fee on my reservation at the JW Marriott Grand Lakes in Orlando went from $25 to $30 per day as well. (I believe this happened around January 15, the same time the reservation cancellation policy changed.) I called the Plat. line who said the JW should honor the resort fee that was in place at the time of my reservation. They put a note in the reservation as well. Either way, I know I will be spending time at check-in making sure the $25 is the resort fee I pay (since getting it waived of late has been a non-starter) and at check-out when the $30 per day resort fee shows up on my bill.
