Canadian Immigrant - accepted for nexus, but not Global Entry?
My wife and I, both Canadian citizens and residents of Canada - have nexus and Global entry.
My mother-in-law, Indian citizen with Canadian immigrant status (ie permanent resident) lives with us. She also has a 10 year multi-entry US tourist visa.
We applied for nexus (and by extension Global Entry) through the US web site.
After logging in, she was told she could apply for nexus, but not GE.
She applied, and now she has an appointment for nexus in April, 2015. Presumably, she will meet the Canadian officer on that date, but not the US officer?
Why would she be turned down for the Global entry part of the application?
