I also took Aeromexico from JFK to MEX; both flights were on their 737-800 which had IFE. It was a smooth ride. Food was OK and drank decent tequila in Y. Very clean plane (seemed to be newly refurbished). Outbound was on their red-eye.

Within Mexico, they had older 737s. They were clean but the interiors were definitely dated.

All in all, not a bad experience at all.
