I had another thought about having two accounts. Since for the $200 "airline fee" credit you have to specify a single airline, by having 2 cards you could pick two (like United and American).

[And can someone confirm that to get the credits, do you have to call AmEx and request the credit, or do they automatically identify the charges and apply them to your $200 "account"?]
