All the cheapest options for me do involve overnighting in HKG and continuing on CX, but for about $50 more, I can go through ICN on OZ on some itineraries. Be careful with your math if you want to consider this for PQM/PQS, since cheap OZ fares earn only 70% PQM and 0 PQS, and you may actually find more PQM on the routings with CX at the end (and there's no long stopover, which you might perceive as favorable or not).
