June 2014, I was looking for a return ticket LAX-BLR.
Emirates and BA would show prices of around 2000$ for return, but I contacted a travel agent and they gave a quote of 1200$ on BA Economy.

ITA, Skyscanner, other travel sites too showed almost the same price which the airline web sites showed.

So, wanted to know how do these travel agents get better prices?
