Sounds like you have open travel plans. I agree with tentseller that you should keep them as flexible Amex currency until you figure out how you want to use them. If you transfer them now you're locked into one program. If you leave them as Amex MR you can look for award seats on all 3 alliances plus some non-alliance airlines and make the best transfer for a specific trip you want to do. Is there a reason you initially posted that you need to transfer 270k now?
