I live in NYC but spend the summers in the UK. I actually failed my UK test three times before I moved to NYC, so I wanted to get some practice in a manual before I take the test again there this summer.

It does strike me as odd that I'm allowed to rent manuals in the UK with a NY license having driven in automatics only.
