When I travelled as NZ Elite they let me check in 2 bags on Save Lite, same as VA Platinum, even though the official rules only allow me 1 bag.

It seems that VA's staff training tells them that the FFP benefits are reciprocal so when they see your status printed on boarding pass as Partner Silver they would probably simply apply VA Silver benefits. No real world experience as Silver though.
