I'm not sure if it makes a difference for IRROPS protection purposes, but is your JFK-CDG flight ticketed with an AA flight number, or with an EY flight number?

Have you checked the Acela schedule from WAS to NYP? Another option would be a DCA-LGA shuttle flight, followed by a cab or public transportation from LGA to JFK.
