When hassled about the non stop vs multi segments, you know its because of the heads up they are given on the FF program. My simple response to inquiry shuts them all up and I suggest some try it and see how your agent responds.
I simply say that I am a smoker and need to stop as much as possible as I get VERY irritable and cranky on a plane. Then point out that you never had that problem when the carrier permitted smoking and that is why you won't ever fly them on international routes when you have many more choices.
They don't want to hear anymore and gladly complete the transaction as quickly as possible to get me away. So what if you don't smoke, they don't know it. If they are slow on the up take, try twitching a bit and tapping your nails loudly on the counter.

Then ask where the nearest smoking lounge is. Works every time!
