My $0.02 is that it has always been a better bet to take a direct 5 hour flight to Vegas, with plenty of service in case of IROPS, than to fly to Newark or Philadelphia and hoof it into AC.
AC is low-rent, and it shows, and now the staff at the casino hotels are fearing for their jobs and the future of their city. The propagation of casinos all over the US has really made that destination a non-destination, and barring a genuine makeover, the city simply will not survive.
Having said that, I would be more than happy to make the weekend trip if a 50 seater was on offer at a reasonable price, and as a player, knowing the casino hotels would take care of me.
Personally, I think the Montreal market would be a better client for infrequent service to AC over TO.
