Couldn't agree less with that affirmation.
IMHO, BA IT is actually one of the best in providing functionality to passengers. POUG, change/cancel bookings, reserve seats taking into consideration status, the BA app, and even the stuff that goes on in the background, like that software that prioritises people for Op-ups.
Comparing BA IT with the likes of LH/TP/SA and others I've been using lately, I'd say that they are well ahead of the curve.
