It doesn't. Nothing has changed on MQMs which is what results in Million Miler miles.

You are mistaken. The only reason that MMs would EVER drop is because an audit of an account finding that some were improperly credited which an incredibly unlikely proposition. AMEX MQMs could theoretically be rolled back.
