Exit row seats on all of the 777 and A380 fleet recline (I haven't been fortunate enough to experience exit rows on the A340!) but you will have to arrive at the airport relatively early to snag them. However, they do have solid arm rests that form an enclosed seat, unlike just a plastic armrest with space underneath them - which is good if you can 1) fit in the seat easily or 2) have a full exit row and are relatively wide, but if you are as wide as the seat it can feel quite constricting. Also you will have to put your IFE system away for take off and landing, whereas everyone else can watch from gate to gate. Power sockets are found underneath your seat, so no problems on that front. The seat pocket is located on the side of on the wall, so if you use them and are paranoid about theft, you may find your in seat storage options quite limited.
