It's happened to me three times. The first time I left an Iphone in the seat back at GRU. It was turned in, and I was able to retrieve it the next day. The second time I left an Ipad in a seatback in TPA, as above, I received a phone call as I was checking into the hotel that the Ipad was found. A quick trip back to the airport reunited me with the Ipad. The last time was at DFW. I ended up filing a missing item report, but when I went back to DFW the next day I went to the lost/missing baggage office, and there it was.

I consider myself very lucky. I know that luck will run out someday.
