Are the 2-together seats towards the back of the plane loud? galley or machine-wise? edited to add, the flight is at 10pm, so i assume there is no meal service until a morning snack? how loud can the galley be?

hubby will likely sleep through anything. We are used to flying business class but this was too good to pass up.

Any chance of a paid upgrade at check-in or before? Other friends were booked in economy on emirates to thailand and were offered a paid upgrade - I think by e-mail.
