Yes, it is. It's not new though. I think back in November there was a similar thread in which that OP was complaining about Delta fares ATL-LAX; Southwest non-stop was about 40% cheaper as I recall.

In cases like these in which there is competition, what can one say, other than one makes one's choice, and pays the fare
