Similar story for me when trying to book two tickets and using an eCredit on mine. Agent was going to have to book us separately and I noticed on my AMEX that I was charged fare+$25 for my companion! Annoyingly, but thankfully, I was unable to use my credit, so I just had her start over and book us together. No $25 fee.
