I agree partially. I see this as a cost controlling exercise, so they would be deployed on the 5 longest 744 routes.
Complete loss of GF cabin to SYD and HKG can potentially be problematic in the future.
I have to think these would go on 744 routes with less GF demand. I've heard from a number of sources that UA does in fact sell a number of GF seats to markets like LHR/FRA/HKG/SYD/NRT.
