Only water transportation to each of the hotels and a ferry that will take you to Viatape.. I'm fairly certain that all the hotels charge for this water transportation. Basically the airport is on a little island (motu) by itself... no roads, cars... only an airport and the employees get there by boat also...
@:-) Makes a bit more sense now...I had seen others mention trucks or taxis from Viatape, so I assume that is an option, but you must source your own boat ride to Viapate from the airport if you choose to forgo any mandatory transfer. I guess I've got some more reading up to do...luckily I have 8 months or so to plan now that flights and rooms are secure. I guess I overreacted as I felt the wording of the e-mail was a bit harsh.
