In response to PHL and my original query, I did call the America West Goldline (I am gold) to see if they would credit my daughter the 325 miles and bumpe her to Silver (seeing as the rest of the family is silver or gold), but no dice.

Seeing as we received 1150 miles for the 2 $80 flights and we scored 2-for-1 Lion King tickets by being at the right place at the right time, I'm glad we went....
