I am going to assume you are flying International on United and will transfer to United domestic. Outside the Customs door for connecting is UA baggage drop for the domestic flight. Walk over to T3 is a 5-10 minute depending on your speed. The Terminals are connected. Just follow the signs above and you won't go wrong.
