In the US you always get zero bags on a discount Y fare unless you have status (or some other reason to be entitled to a bag). With Emerald status you will get three bags!
BA is the odd one out here.
That said I understand why the policy is the way it is.
I realise that BA might be the odd one out, but given that it is marketed as HBO, I do not understand comments such as:
'Anyway, another example of BA stripping away our hard earned benefits.'
There's no trickery involved, they're not hiding anything, nor stripping it away. The difference between the HBO fare and the normal is usually fairly small anyway.
