Thanks for the comments guys...my case was pretty bad and I am still really REALLY angry about what transpired.
I was literally in need of urgent medical assistance and got no help from the staff of the hotel and ended up having to walk to the nearest medical clinic on my own in the heavy rain.
Not a good day. Ended up flying the next morning back to Kuala Lumpur for immediate surgery on my ankle and then was in hospital there after for 2 more weeks.
Surgeon was adamant if I got assistance from the hotel to get a cab to a specialist center and not walked as much as I did, the damage would not have been as significant.
2 weeks in hospital, a bill close to USD$8,000 and thankfully I had 80% of it covered by insurance.
And then a further 6 weeks in bed at home...anyways, not the hotel's fault entirely but the way they went about handling me call for help was pretty bad.
