I have 10 nights total in Japan - 2 nights at Conrad Tokyo, 3 nights at a ryokan in Matsuyama, Shikoku, 2 nights at RC Kyoto, then will be heading back to Tokyo for the final 3 nights.
Based on what I've read here, I'm leaning toward the Shangri-La, MO, or Pen. Any recommendations? Would like the hotel to be close to food/shopping, and a contrast in location and experience from the Conrad.
Shangri-La, MO, or Pen - they're all closed to food and shopping. Just depends on what kind of shopping you want.
MO- Coredo, Mitsukoshi, little Nihonbashi shops
Shangri-La - Daimaru, Tokyo station shops, down the road is Yurakucho and Ginza
Pen- brands (luxe, tech, budget) galore in Ginza and Yurakucho
