It is funny how everyone is blaming the airline and airport but not the actual obvious requirements from the US. Just flew AMS to MSP, and yes there were questions but if you just answer them with tact you will get through. These questions for U S carriers have been in Brazil and other countries for a while now. It seems the states forces the airlines to have secondary security. I fly out of AMS lots to Canada and prefer the direct but when connecting to the states always has extra security. It is interesting to see the American culture vs Canadian. If you are going to be an ... an throw a fit you will get treated like an ... and maybe get your bag scanned for a fifth time. Connect through YYZ or YUL next time. maybe it won't be so bad.
