Now, the question nobody else has asked that I'd be interested in knowing - Presumably, Mr/Ms super-duper HVC spends quite a bit with DL, so has lots and lots of SkyPesos. Why not just ask Delta to give him/her a low business class award ticket and be done with it? I'm a Delta VLVC and I have lots of SkyPesos. What am I missing here?
The OP feels that he should not have to spend the miles for a BE ticket but rather should be able to spend only the miles for a low coach award ticket and have his wife sit in BE. If seems rather cheap for such a HVC.
